To become an Expert Laundry Attendant, you must believe in, learn our procedures, and perform based on the above mission statement. Being honest, responsible, fast learner, able to follow instructions, work without direct supervision, being highly energetic, a team player, pay attention to detail, have good communication skills on the phone and in person… among others, are required characteristics that you must possess. These characteristics, coupled with our training, will make you an expert Laundry Attendant!
This position requires you to be ready and, on the go, activities vary day to day, which makes your days never monotonous, in addition you will get some fitness benefit by the thousands of steps you take when you work here ! There are two shifts, the morning shift, and the afternoon shift; in addition, there is a night shift when the workload requires it. We are open every day and most holidays. Mostly, there is only (1) Attendant working per shift; therefore, the Attendant must be able to perform all procedures efficiently, provide excellent customer service and self-direct to complete all the necessary duties during the shift. It is imperative that the Attendant is able to manage her time, as more than one thing will be going on (such as taking dry clean & fluff & fold orders, giving change to customers, handling complaints, machine malfunctions, slot pay-outs, water spills, power outages, etc.), multitasking and prioritize workload to keep the laundry operation running smoothly. Attendant must always show a courteous and friendly attitude towards the customers. Dependability is essential to this position, so being on time as scheduled is imperative. Professional behavior, language and appearance is always expected, as you are a representative of Laundry Vegas. Attendants must always be aware of what is going on at all areas of the laundromat and to always maintain it clean, organized, and free of any hazardous conditions. As you can tell, this job requires you to be fully here, in mind and body, and to be alert and in command.
These are some of the skills you must become proficient on:
- Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude as they enter the laundromat.
- Assist customers with operating washers, dryers, Laundry Card System and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the laundromat, including cleaning machines, folding tables, and restrooms.
- Monitor and address any issues with machines promptly to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Assist customers with laundry-related inquiries and provide helpful recommendations.
- Handle Receiving and Checking out of Dry Clean and Wash and Fold orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including providing change and processing payments.
- Processing Wash & Folds.
- Knowledge of garment types, names and fabrics for Dry Clean order taking.
- Knowledge of ongoing Discounts and Promos.
- Slot machine overview.
- Uphold safety protocols and ensure compliance with all laundromat policies and procedures.
- End of Shift Reports.
- Open and Close store procedures.
